How long have you been in recruitment for?
I've always strived to set up my own company. Seeing a lot of negativity in the industry from agencies and colleagues inspired me even more, as I knew things could be done differently.
What made you decide to start your own recruitment business?
The biggest highlight so far has been turning the business around during a difficult period. We restructured and consolidated, and are now profitable again. Additionally, we've expanded into international recruitment, successfully placing candidates in five countries outside of the UK over the past 12 months.
What has been your biggest highlight so far?
"My advice for those thinking about starting their own business is to expect bumps in the road and twists and turns along the way. Avoid over-leveraging the business with huge costs, and be patient. The rewards are worth it. Most importantly, have self-belief—it's key to your success!"
