How long have you been in recruitment for?
Working for previous recruitment businesses had its positives in terms of learning the industry, but it also came with its constraints, and I soon learnt the ‘What not to do’s’ from these businesses and felt I could offer an improved service away from these constraints. I also really liked the idea of building something in to something on my own merit and later seeing people flourish under something I have built.
What made you decide to start your own recruitment business?
"Seeing the hard work that everyone puts in, pay off."
What has been your biggest highlight so far?
"Be prepared to work harder and longer than you ever have before. Being a director comes with much more responsibility and more work. Its not the glamorous lifestyle you may think it is, that comes with time and perseverance."
What advice would you give to others who are thinking about starting up their own business?
"Gave me the freedom to build a business the way I wanted to. My judgement and decisions were trusted throughout that process, even during difficult periods."
